Visit of the Ig Protection and Rescue Training Center

03. November 2021

October is the month of fire safety, so we dedicated our first October meeting of the Slovenian Association of Corporate Security to the current topic "Fire safety in major business complexes". This time we were guests at the Fire Brigade of Slovenia.

After a long time, we were able to hold the meeting live at the Protection and Rescue Training Center in Ig near Ljubljana. In the introduction we were addressed by the president of the association dr. Denis Čaleta and then gave the floor to the head of firefighter training, Mr. Marko Zibelnik, who took us through a tour of the mentioned educational center. He presented and showed us the capacity of the center with all training grounds, which Slovenian firefighters use for education and training in various situations. After the guided presentation, dr. Denis Čaleta thanked the hosts for their hospitality by handing over the plaque of the association.

After that, we moved to the meeting room, where we were addressed by Mr. Franci Petek, Commander of the Fire Brigade of Slovenia and Mr. Janko Cerkvenik, President of the Fire Brigade Association of Slovenia, and later we continued the professional discussion with our members on the challenges posed by firefighting in major business complexes.

In the end, dr. Denis Čaleta thanked all members for participating in the association, and in a short speech summarized what will happen within the association in October and November. We ended the meeting with a pleasant chat and exchange of experiences.
