The initial workshop of the EU project SUNRISE (Strategies and Technologies for United and Resilient Critical Infrastructures and Vital Services in Pandemic-Stricken Europe) was successfully implemented in Ljubljana, organized by ICS Ljubljana. It was led by Dr. Milan Tarman, M.Sc. Marko Potokar and Dr. Denis Čaleta. All Slovenian project partners were present at the workshop, in addition to ICS Ljubljana and XLAB as facilitators, Ministry of Infrastructure, UKC Ljubljana, Plinovodi, ELES, Slovenske železnice, Slovenske železnice-infrastrukture, Transport Institute and Telekom Slovenije. Already at the beginning of the workshop, the moderators ensured a relaxed atmosphere and a realistic comparison of organizational and sports collectives linked to successful stories of leading by example. The purpose of the productive discussion was to gather experience, identify shortcomings, expectations and good practices to improve the resilience of organizations as Critical Infrasrustures and Vital Sevices during the pandemic. The focus was on creating answers, how we can support others and how we can better cooperate in crises related to the pandemic situations. Special emphasis was placed on understanding the public-private partnership and what is already in the operational environment, what is missing and how we can achieve strategic and system improvements. The collected information, experience and good practice will support the continuation of discussions, analyzes and research of the EU project SUNRISE in the national and international environment.
