The Information Commissioner marked its 20 years of operation with a professional conference and a ceremonial reception at Ljubljana Castle. We took the opportunity to congratulate the Information Commissioner and all her colleagues on their excellent work and to wish them professional courage in the years to come. The Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia is one of the key corporate members of the Slovenian Association for Corporate Security.

The morning professional conference was opened with keynote addresses by the Information Commissioner Dr. Jelena Virant Burnik, Dr. Damjan Orož, President of the Supreme Court, Dr. Anu Talus, Chair of the European Data Protection Board (EDPB), and Mojca Prelesnik, former Information Commissioner and Director of the Slovenian Press Agency. The conference featured three panel discussions with distinguished experts in the fields of access to information, artificial intelligence, and personal data protection. In addition to the Information Commissioner, the evening ceremonial reception was also addressed by the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Dr. Nataša Pirc Musar.
