The House of the European Union hosted ICS Ljubljana and the Slovenian Association of Corporate Security
ICS Ljubljana and the Slovenian Association of Corporate Security organized a high-profile national consultation entitled Implementation of the EU directive NIS 2 supported by good practices of EU projects.
On Thursday, December 5, 2024, the national consultation "Introduction of the EU directive NIS 2 supported by good practices of EU projects" took place in the House of the European Union in Slovenia, organized by ICS Ljubljana and the Slovenian Association of Corporate Security. The event was supported by the European projects SUNRISE, ATLANTIS, CEDAR, CYBER SEAS, ENDURANCE, in which the Institute for Corporate Security Studies participates.
The conference was opened by Dr. Denis Čaleta, President of the Slovenian Association of Corporate Security, Mrs. Jelena Virant Burnik, information officer, Mark Pohar, deputy director of AKOS and Dr. Uroš Svete, director of Government Information Security Office.

In the following, the representatives of the Government Information Security Office presented in three detailed lectures the achievement of compliance with the NIS 2 directive, the draft content of the Guide for providers of essential services to help ensure compliance with the EU directive NIS-2 and good and bad practices in the field of cyber security perceived by inspectors when visiting various organizations.
In the last part of the meeting, we were able to listen to a round table on the topic "Experience of participating in EU research projects in the field of cyber security and critical infrastructure - a motivating factor for understanding the new changes in the normative framework" in which representatives of Telekom Slovenije, ELES, Elektro Gorenjska, Plinovodov, Slovenian Railways and URSIV.
