As part of the ENDURANCE project, which is financed by the European Commission, the first workshop in Slovenia was organized on November 27, 2024, entitled "Finding suitable solutions to ensure increased resilience of critical infrastructure". The co-organizers of the event were the Institute for Corporate Security Studies, ELES, Telekom Slovenije, AKOS, URSIV and Silver Bullet Risk, all Slovenian partners in the ENDURANCE project. The event was hosted by the company ELES in its Technology Center in Dol near Ljubljana. The workshop was attended by representatives of critical infrastructure and essential services, as well as decision-makers.

The workshop is the first in a series of several that will take place within the framework of the project over the next three years at the national and pan-European level. Through the events, we will try to find answers to the challenges brought by a demanding security environment with included security threats, as well as the search for appropriate solutions for creating a flexible ecosystem that will ensure the appropriate level of resilience of our key organizations and systems.

The ENDURANCE project itself is aimed at finding new methodological, process and technological steps in developing the resilience of critical infrastructure. In order to carry out the appropriate steps in the project, it is crucial to obtain information about real experiences, challenges, the state, current gaps and also good practices in ensuring the resilience of organizations and society as a whole.

The aforementioned workshop was thus aimed at opening an open discussion and finding positive conclusions in order to help strategic institutions in the EU to find effective ways to create the previously mentioned dynamic security ecosystem in the field of ensuring higher resilience of critical infrastructure operations.
