Institute for Corporative Security Studies, within the SUNRISE project, organises workshops for in-depth discussion with Critical Infrastructure (CI) operators to enable an understanding of the role of individual CI operators in each sector and in interdependence with other CI sectors. The main focus of these workshops is to generate answers on how they can support each other and how they can better cooperate in crises. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding public-private partnerships and working with coordinating and governing bodies.

The SUNRISE National Workshop took place on 23.5.2024 from 9.00 to 13.00 at BTC, Kristalna palace, Ameriška ulica 8, Ljubljana with the general theme "Building tomorrow: strategy and tools for resilience of European infrastructure in future pandemics and climate scenarios". The main objectives of this workshop were to answer the challenges of preparing the project strategy, the potential pandemic virus scenario in 2029 and the evaluation of the "What if" analysis and risk assessment as tools in the project preparation.

The workshop discussions focused on the above topics in a positive and productive atmosphere. The expertise and experience of the participants will be of great help in the ongoing efforts of the SUNRISE project to improve and address the various challenges addressed by the project in the domestic and international environment.
