Summer Pilot Workshop of the CEDAR Project

22. July 2026

On Tuesday, July 21st 2026, ICS held a pilot workshop at the Celje General Hospital, together with the Slovenian part of the CEDAR consortium.

The workshop was dedicated to demonstrating the prototype technologies being developed by CEDAR to improve transparency in the management of low-value tenders in the healthcare sector. SNEP and the Slovenian Police participated as technology developers. The Police also took on the role of end users, alongside representatives from the Celje General Hospital team.

Participants had the opportunity to see how open data and modern data processing technologies can contribute to a more comprehensive and effective review of low-value tenders (covering both tenders and received bids) and to a better understanding of the risks present at individual stages of the procurement process.

The workshop prompted a constructive discussion about the challenges faced by public procurement practitioners and the potential of CEDAR tools to improve existing processes. Participant feedback will be a valuable contribution to the final development phase and to aligning the tools with the needs of end users.
