The first meeting of the members of the Slovenian Association of Corporate Security in 2016 was hosted by two important public institution, SI-CERT (Slovenian Computer Emergency Response Team) and the Office of the Information Commissioner RS, both also a corporate members of the Association.
At the beginning, the president of the Association dr. Denis Čaleta welcomed all present, who were gathered at this year's first meeting. Then the word left to the meeting host, Mr Gorazd Božič, Director of SI CERT. He presented the functioning of this institution, which operates under the auspices of ARNES, summed up some visible events in 2015, we took note of the main findings of the previous year in the area of IT risks and cyber-attacks, and how is this institution with its limited staff resources possible to improve the safety of Slovenian internet.
The following was the mag. Andrej Tomsic, Deputy Information Commissioner, presented the activities of the Office in 2015, the situation in the field of protection of personal data and access to public information. We were exposed to the most high-profile cases, the statistics of the previous period and, of course, good practice and guidance to incoming period. This year is expected to significant changes, which will launch the new European legislation in these areas.
The last part of the meeting was dedicated to discussion and the exchange of best practices from our organizational environments.
