Seventh General Assembly of the ATLANTIS Project
From June 10 to 12, 2025, the ICS team participated in the Seventh General Assembly of the ATLANTIS project, held in Avigliana, Italy, and hosted by SINA-SITAF.
The first day of the meeting was dedicated to reviewing the project’s progress and aligning final efforts ahead of the upcoming demonstrations of ATLANTIS technologies. Partners discussed how the integrated solutions designed to enhance operational collaboration and resilience of Europe’s interconnected critical infrastructures will be showcased across pilot sites.

The second day featured an Open Day and full-scale simulation exercise at the nearby Santa Petronilla Tunnel, replicating a hybrid attack on the Fréjus Tunnel, one of Europe’s key cross-border transport infrastructures. The simulation involved a coordinated cyber and physical threat scenario, where signage and safety systems were disabled by a cyberattack, followed by a drone strike triggering a hazardous tunnel fire. ATLANTIS technologies were tested in real-time, in front of emergency responders, tunnel operators, and public authorities from both Italy and France. The exercise not only validated ATLANTIS tools under pressure but also highlighted the importance of good cross-border coordination and institutional readiness.

The final day took participants on a field visit to the Fréjus Tunnel, where they explored key infrastructure components and gained firsthand insight into daily operations and safety procedures from local experts.
