On Tuesday 10 October 2023, the Agency for Public Administration Records and Services (AJPES) hosted an "Information Security Day". The event explored different aspects of cyber security, learning how to identify risks, respond properly to incidents and effectively defend against hacker attacks, in particular through email and social engineering.

One of the key speakers at this event was Žiga Podgoršek from the Institute for Corporate Security Studies, a renowned information security expert specialising in cyber security assurance. His lecture on "Artificial Intelligence and New Challenges in Cybersecurity Assurance" took participants through the current and upcoming challenges in this area and helped them understand how we can use AI to better protect our systems.
