Presentation of the EU project APPRAISE at the 9th International Professional Conference of the Serbian Association of Managers of Corporate Security (SAMKB) "Corporate Security Days 2023"
The representative of the Institute for Corporate Security Studies, mag. Miran Vršec, presented the European project APPRAISE (Facilitating Public & Private security operators to mitigate terrorism scenarios against soft targets) to the participants of the international conference "Corporate Security Days 2023" in Serbia, which involves 28 partners from all over Europe and also three Slovenian partners - the Institute for Corporate Security Studies, the Ministry of the Interior - Police and BTC.

The exercise, which was organised at the Atlantis Water City in BTC City Ljubljana and represents one of the four pilots of the APPRAISE project, was also presented. All 27 project partners from 10 European countries took part in the exercise. The exercise tested new procedural and technological approaches in a real environment and in real time, which will enable the introduction of state-of-the-art technologies and skills and better cooperation between public and private security stakeholders in the field of protection of public spaces in the event of terrorist and other related attacks. The Slovenian Police also took part in the exercise and used the opportunity to test their capabilities, equipment, organisation, tactics and effectiveness in responding to such security events and incidents.
The EU project received a lot of interest at the conference, as the conclusions and good practices are particularly relevant for activities in the field of critical infrastructure and are also closely linked to the implementation of professional activities in the field of corporate security.
