An expert conference entitled Key Steps for Improving the Resilience of Our Organizations was organized by the Institute for Corporate Security Studies and the Slovenian Corporate Security Association.

Through a guided discussion led by the president of the association, assoc. prof. dr. Denis Čaleta, the interlocutors opened important focus views on the process of resilience of our organizations with special emphasis on the synergy of physical and cyber approaches. The discussion presented a part of the content that will be presented more detail and in-depth at the upcoming prominent event "Days of Corporate Security 2021".

The guests of this round table were Mr. Dalibor Vukovič (Telekom Slovenije), Mr. Peter Ceferin (SmartCOM), Mr. Predrag Petrovič (ID Shop), Mr. Igor Zgonc (Silver Bullet Risk), MSc. Gašper Cotman (Huawei technologies Ljubljana) and Mr. Tomaž Pregl (Zarja Elektronika). The following topics were opened as part of an interesting discussion:

• A more effective approach to risk management;
  Synergies in physical and cyber security management;
• New approaches to establishing comprehensive cyber security mechanisms in CI organizations;
• A more comprehensive understanding of the challenges posed by the integration of IT and OT environments;
• Why do we forget about certain security risks, such as fire risks that significantly affect the continuous operation of our organizations;
• Providing systemic measures to increase the resilience of organizations;
• Digitization of processes - are we ready for this step?
  
• Introduction of new technologies and risk management (5G, artificial intelligence,….).

The last part of the meeting was dedicated to the questions and discussion of the conference participants, who shared their experiences and good practices. The conclusions of the consultation and the solutions provided will help us to ensure higher corporate security in our environments.
