Dr. Denis Čaleta, on behalf of the Institute for Corporate Security Studies for Slovenian Media, commented on the effectiveness of the new approaches to protecting the Schengen border brought by the newly adopted EU regulation. Adopting this regulation has certainly contributed to the many different interests of individual countries within the EU. Unfortunately, it has once again been shown that countries protecting the external Schengen border are exposed to certain negative factors. Any reckless activity quickly causes major problems, which have been strongly reflected in this time in limiting the flow of traffic flows. In the foreground, however, the fundamental question arises whether the implementation of the provisions of this regulation really contributed to a higher level of security and better management of terrorist risks in the EU.
