A representative of ICS Ljubljana gave a lecture at a high-profile event entitled "Cyber (in)security in times of crisis" organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, ZIT - Association for Informatics and Telecommunications. The event was aimed at small and medium-sized businesses looking to improve cyber security.
The guest of the online event was Žiga Podgoršek, head of information security at the Institute for Corporate Security Studies and a member of the Slovenian Association of Corporate Security. In a lecture entitled "Cybercrime on networked devices - examples from practice", he tried to show the vulnerabilities and risks to which networked devices connected to the World Wide Web are exposed. Due to ad hoc decisions as a result of the corona crisis and working from home, many of these devices are improperly configured and exposed to the wilds of the World Wide Web.
In the lecture, he also highlighted the good practices gained in the international project InfraStress.
