Fourth General Assembly of the CEDAR Project

24. January 2025

During January 21-2nd, representatives of ICS Ljubljana attended the fourth General assembly of the CEDAR project, organized in Madrid by their Polytecnic University (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, UPM).

The CEDAR project addresses challenges in increasing transparency and reducing irregularities in the management of public funds. As a key tool in this fight against potential fraud and corruption in the public sector, CEDAR relies on big data processing, analysis, and the use of artificial intelligence.

During the meeting, we discussed potential anomaly indicators that can be used to identify events in various datasets that may point to potential errors in public procurement processes. At the same time, we aligned our views on how the results of big data analyses should be displayed on user interfaces to ensure they are clearly understandable for end users with different profiles.

The in-person collaboration offered many opportunities for discussions, sharing perspectives, and exchanging experiences.
