First Review and Sixt General Assembly of the CEDAR Project
From September 9-11, 2025, partners of the CEDAR project gathered in Amsterdam for a three-day meeting hosted by Arthur’s Legal. The agenda focused on three key activities: final preparations for the first formal project review, the review itself, and in-depth discussions on the feedback and recommendations received from the evaluators.
CEDAR aims to strengthen transparency and accountability in the management of public funds by leveraging data spaces, big data analytics, and artificial intelligence as core tools in the fight against fraud and corruption in public procurement.
ICS took part as the leader of the Slovenian pilot and the partner responsible for the cybersecurity of CEDAR technologies. We presented progress made in both domains, as well as our plans for the next phases.
The meeting also featured a timely discussion on the pace of global technological advancements and their implications from ethical and legal standpoints, highlighting the importance of balancing innovation with responsibility.
The event came at a crucial time, as all three pilot countries (Ukraine, Italy, and Slovenia) are actively preparing for the first formal validation of CEDAR results with end users. The expert recommendations received during the review will play a key role in supporting the success of these piloting activities.
