ECHO partners meet in Athens

26. May 2026

On May 14th, core part of the ECHO consortium gathered in Athens, Greece, for a technical workshop centred on refining the project’s use cases. The event was hosted by the project coordinator Netcompany.

The workshop’s primary goal was to bridge the needs of the end users with the capabilities of the ECHO technologies, ensuring that these genuinly address the challenges of the organisations that will use them. To that end, pilot leads and tool owners came together to discuss specific use cases relevant for ECHO, the detailed requirements behind them, and the capabilities that need to be implemented to meet those needs. Conversations spanned several core ECHO solutions, including the knowledge hub, threat monitoring and forecasting, resilience plan evaluation, resource sharing orchestration, and resilience training and simulation.

The Athens workshop marked an important milestone for the project. Beyond validating current assumptions and aligning on the road ahead, it served as a valuable reminder of what drives ECHO forward: staying firmly grounded in the real needs of its users.
