A new European project ORION is starting

24. September 2025

European borders are facing increasing challenges: long queues, fragmented systems, outdated tools, and the growing number of passengers and vehicles make effective control more difficult. At transport hubs such as ferry terminals, constant movement further complicates inspections, reducing security and increasing the burden on travelers.
The EU-funded ORION project is developing new technologies for smarter and safer border management.

With advanced risk assessment, improved information sharing between agencies, and dynamic resource allocation, ORION solutions will:
✅ shorten waiting times,
✅ reduce energy consumption,
✅ improve system interoperability and data protection.
The project’s goal is clear: faster, safer, and more environmentally friendly border checks for all travelers. 🌍✈️🚢
