The migration we are seeing is primarily economic and requires a comprehensive approach and cooperation between EU countries. Different understandings and partial interests are not the way to tackle this problem.

At the same time, he pointed to factors that attract migrants to the EU, such as the inability to effectively protect the EU's external borders, the high standard of living in the EU that attracts those looking for a better future, and the EU's need for a new workforce. The question arises whether the EU has an adequate strategy for the successful integration of migrants into the labour market. However, a common understanding and a long-term integration policy are key to tackling the challenge of migration in the EU.
